Brownsville to Hold Elections on May 4, 2024

Propositions A and B on the Ballot

Brownsville, Texas - As the May 4, 2024 election approaches, residents in the growing city of Brownsville will have the opportunity to vote on two important propositions: Proposition A and Proposition B.

Proposition A: City Infrastructure Improvements

Proposition A seeks to approve the issuance of bonds in the amount of $100 million to fund various infrastructure improvements throughout the city. These improvements include road repairs, bridge renovations, and upgrades to the city's water and sewer systems.

Proposition B: Public Safety Enhancements

Proposition B proposes to allocate $50 million towards enhancing public safety in Brownsville. The funds would be used to hire additional police officers, purchase new equipment, and improve training programs.

The Brownsville City Council has endorsed both propositions, citing the need for continued investment in the city's infrastructure and public safety to maintain its growth and prosperity.

Registered voters in Brownsville are encouraged to participate in the election and cast their votes on Propositions A and B. Early voting begins on April 22, 2024, and Election Day is May 4, 2024.
